'Prometheus' Is not An 'Alien' Prequel, Swears Fox Studio Chief
Ridley Scott's "Prometheus" is among the most popular projects to keep close track of in 2012, without doubt about this. But one of the film's many meritsincluding Scott's much looked forward to go back to sci-fi along with a stellar cast which includes Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbenderthere is a nagging real question is this movie an "Alien" prequel or otherwise? "Prometheus" stars Fassbender and Noomi Rapace have both confirmed the "Alien" connection, but it is the term "prequel" with a folks still itching their heads. There is however a minumum of one person attached to "Prometheus" who does not notice being an "Alien" prequel whatsoever: the one and only Fox Shot Entertainment Boss Tom Rothman. "It's not [an 'Alien' prequel]. It isn't,Inch Rothman passionately defended when MTV News pressed him around the question in the Gotham Honours now. "Hands on heart." Whenever we stated that "Prometheus" happening within the same world as "Alien" and existing before that first movie technically qualifies it as being a follow up, Rothman offered: "I guess if you wish to definitionally be that literal, however it will it an excellent injustice. Let me tell you, here's the best way to consider it. Should you checked out the entire movie, 95 % from it is entirely on its own. Ridley stated it right: If you are an admirer and also you look carefully, you'll place strands of DNA." Rothman also addressed the current "Prometheus" trailer leak, that they referred to as "heartbreakingly unfair." "The standard from the pictures is really as spectacularly beautiful, shot in 3-D compositionally the way in which merely a master could get it done,Inch Rothman stated. "For many early, early, early, early half-baked, half-assed test to leak, it is so unfair." Do you consider "Prometheus" is really a prequel towards the "Alien" films or otherwise?
